Pónaire (Irish for bean) is the only local hand-crafted coffee roaster in the Mid West Region. They import their own raw beans from around the world and meticulously roast, blend, and package them and have a roaster and coffee shop at the Milk Market.

At Pónaire, they can support all your coffee needs – they supply a wide selection of whole beans, ground coffee as well as a full range of equipment. In addition to the Pónaire blends, they also create custom blends for their most discerning customers.

Pónaire has access to over 90 different green (un-roasted) coffee beans from over 20 countries. They import high grade Arabica beans from around the world – India, Indonesia, Kenya, Chile, Columbia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Brazil, Tanzania, and Yemen to name a few.

Their beans are selected for their quality and taste from sources that support the local producer, their community and Ponaire are certified to sell Fairtrade coffee.

Awards
Pónaire has won 3 Bridgestone Awards (2007, 2008 and 2009) for their artisan roasted coffees. They add nothing but heat to their high grade traceable Arabica beans and roast in a clean, HACCP approved facility. They hand roast to draw out the unique natural origin flavours of each bean without any artificial additives.

On Saturday 30 January 2010, Ponaire was named Best Coffee in the Irish Independent Weekend Magazine. It stated "Ms. Ryan is on top of her game, fashioning true and vivid coffee blends that make your life better right from the moment you wake up in the morning".
