Ruth Crean is a graduate from the Limerick School of Art and Design. All of her life she has been busy making, drawing and painting so it was the logical step forward to set up her design business ‘Nice Day Designs’ in 2006. She is happy working in many different disciplines - as a graphic designer, illustrator, fashion designer and crafter. She also recycles and customises second hand clothes and sells her designer pieces in boutiques and online.
At her stall Ruth sells a wide selection of women’s accessories, including handmade brooches made from the highest quality wool felt, in a variety of vibrant colours. She also sells handy pocket mirrors and handmade greetings cards.
Alongside her selection of crafts, she has a large collection of vintage sewing supplies including buttons, knitting needles, ribbons, clasps and handmade pincushions. A great assortment of supplies for any sewing or craft enthusiast!
Ruth has been trading weekly at the Sunday Riverside Market for the past few years. Nice Day Designs was nominated in 2009 and 2010 for Best Irish Business Blog and was also featured on RTE’s Nationwide in 2009.
