Arun Kapil, another product of the famous Ballymaloe Cookery School, set up an amazing little spice company - Green Saffron Spices in Co Cork in 2004. It is a family-run business bringing small, frequent shipments of the highest grade, freshest and unrivaled whole spices, sourced direct from the growers (farm) in India.

Although Arun’s family has roots deeply entrenched in Indian culture and blends, his interests lie in "Flavour, Texture and Taste" and ways to best achieve the best results. The first (and only) starting point is the highest quality, best ingredients; making no compromises.

Arun is generating a great following for his spices both over here and in the UK, through chefs like Ross Lewis (Chapter One, Dublin), Myrtle, Darina and Rachel Allen (Ballymaloe, Cork), Paul Flynn (The Tannery, Dungarven), Richard Corrigan (Oyster Bar and Grill, Corrigans of Mayfair, Lyndsey House) and establishments such as The Ritz and Claridges, London.

Green Saffron are also now supplying various Michelin starred chefs, restaurants and hotels, such Alain Ducasse, Dorchester Hotel, Fat Duck in Bray, Manoir Quatre Saisons, Pascal Sanchez, Sketch, Adam Peeney, China Whites…. with whole spices and spice blends throughout London.

Green Saffron are a young, energetic, burgeoning company full of potential and enthusiasm, driven by pure passion for life and all of the best things this (culinary) world has to offer!!
