The Gallagher’s have the longest association of all Traders with the Milk Market. Cecil’s great-grandmother began to ply her trade here in the late 1800’s and an unbroken line of her descendents has continued the business to this day.
Today Cecil and Marion Gallagher maintain this fine tradition to regularly ply their trade at the Milk Market.
The family farm, located on the fertile banks of the River Shannon in Ballysteen, Co. Limerick produces the finest of locally grown and in season fruit and vegetables, including parsnips, turnips, carrots, swedes, potatoes, leeks, cauliflower, onions and celery, a selection of which are available at the Milk Market.
The Gallaghers also operate a fine fruit and vegetable shop on Main Street, Rathkeale, Co. Limerick.
