El Chilli Loco is the brain child of Sarah Woulfe, a Limerick native and lover of all things food related. Sarah enjoys nothing more than to wax lyrical about her meals to her customers and is more than happy to offers all kinds of advice relating to food and cookery at her stall in the Milk Market.

Sarah began her career as a project engineer and back in April 2008, after 8 years in ‘the rat race’, she took off to east Cork to do the famous Ballymaloe cookery course. Following three of the best months of her life, Sarah knew she had made the right decision and left her previous desk job to search for a restaurant to gain further experience.

Sarah was extremely lucky to land a job as a junior chef in the amazing vegetarian restaurant, Cafe Paradiso in Cork. The work was extremely tough but Sarah was in her element, learning about foods she never knew existed and cooking for paying customers for the first time. Much to her delight, Sarah got to cook for Cillian Murphy one night!

When Sarah decided to make the break from restaurant life and go it alone, El Chilli Loco was born. El Chilli Loco started out with just four varieties of salsa but since then the range has expanded. The soups are made using seasonal ingredients and are varied each week. Sarah makes a variety of ready meals, all vegetarian but some also suitable for coeliacs, diabetics, vegans and for people with dairy intolerances.

Sarah also runs cookery lessons in her home as well as providing catering services for all kinds of events from birthdays to weddings and christenings.

At the Milk Market

The El Chilli Loco stall is at the Milk Market every Saturday at stall 29. They are also in the University of Limerick Farmers Market on Tuesday.
